Esco Announces Independent Validation of Downflow Booths to ISPE Good Practice Guidelines


Singapore February 17, 2010 -- Esco announces its Pharmacon™ Downflow Booths have been independently validated by International Safety Systems, Inc. (ISS) of New York, USA, per the Good Practice guidelines on Assessing the Particulate Containment Performance of Pharmaceutical Equipment published by the International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering (ISPE).

The test results distinctly demonstrated effective particulate containment of the Esco Downflow Booth. Area surrogate concentrations ranged from below detection limit of 0.025 micrograms (µg)/m3 to 0.25 µg/m3. Tests results with Esco Downflow Booth ventilation system running were about 190 times lower than when the ventilation system was not running.
